The company is currently hiring full-time Food Transporter/Delivery Driver positions located at Expedia - 1111 Expedia Group Way, Seattle, WA 98119. This role involves the safe and timely delivery of food, supplies, and other products using company vehicles. The schedule is Monday through Friday with early morning shift start times, providing an opportunity for individuals seeking steady, full-time employment with competitive wages ranging from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. The position requires two to three years of professional driving experience and offers an internal employee referral bonus.
In this role, the Food Transporter/Delivery Driver will be responsible for picking up requisitioned supplies and completed production orders, properly inventorying these items, and loading them in a safe and orderly fashion onto the delivery vehicle. Safety and sanitation are critical components of the role, requiring adherence to company standards to maintain the integrity and quality of food during transportation. Responsibilities also include unloading materials at delivery sites, collecting empty containers and rejected merchandise, performing routine vehicle maintenance, and ensuring the general cleanliness of their assigned truck.
This position requires interaction with coworkers to maintain high standards of service and to deliver excellent customer service by paying close attention to details. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and where required, a valid food handler’s permit to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Job Duties
- Picks up requisitioned supplies from staging clerk
- Receives completed production orders from staging clerk
- Inventories items to ensure completion of production orders
- Loads orders onto truck with assistance of staging clerks in a safe, orderly manner
- Unloads requisitioned materials at delivery site
- Follows sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment
- Ensures hot and cold food items comply with company standards and sanitation requirements
- Collects empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise
- Maintains cleanliness and performs routine maintenance of assigned vehicle
- Interacts with coworkers to ensure company service standards
- Provides quality customer service via one-on-one attention to detail
- Performs other duties as assigned
