The Food Transporter/Delivery Driver role at UNC Charlotte is a full-time position based at 9201 University City Blvd, Charlotte, NC. This position pays between $19.00 and $19.50 per hour and offers additional perks like a free shift meal and access to Instapay through the One @Work app, which facilitates early wage access. The role involves delivering food, supplies, and other products efficiently and safely to various units and service areas across campus. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, and excellent customer service skills. The delivery driver works closely with staging clerks to pick up, inventory, load, and unload orders while maintaining cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle.

Job Duties
- Picks up requisitioned supplies from staging clerk
- Receives completed production orders from staging clerk and inventories items to ensure completion
- Loads orders onto truck with assistance of staging clerks in a safe, orderly manner
- Unloads requisitioned materials at delivery site
- Follows sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment
- Ensures hot and cold food items comply with company standards and meet sanitation and safety requirements
- Collects empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise
- Responsible for general cleanliness of assigned vehicle
- Performs routine maintenance on truck
- Interacts with coworkers to ensure company service standards
- Provides quality customer service via one-on-one attention to detail
- Performs other duties as assigned
