We are currently hiring for a full-time Food Transporter/Delivery Driver position at Canteen's Coffee Distributing Corp location. This role operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, offering an hourly wage between $22.00 and $24.00. The Food Transporter/Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering food, beverages, coffee, and other products to designated customer locations while ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to company service standards.

Key responsibilities include loading and unloading merchandise, verifying order accuracy, maintaining food safety and sanitation protocols, and employing handheld technology to track deliveries and inventory. The role also involves routine vehicle maintenance and cleanliness, collecting empty containers, and providing high-quality customer service through detailed attention and interpersonal communication. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and preferably have prior driving experience. The position emphasizes safety, sanitation, and compliance with industry and regulatory requirements to maintain the integrity and quality of transported products.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Previous driving experience preferred
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle
  • Must adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to use handheld technology for delivery and inventory management
  • Must be able to perform routine vehicle maintenance

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a valid state driver's license and a valid food handler's permit where required
  • Valid driver's license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions
  • Previous driving experience preferred
  • Ability to provide quality customer service through attention to detail and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Safely transport and deliver food, beverages, coffee, and other products to designated customer locations while maintaining delivery schedules and company service standards
  • Load, unload, and verify products for accuracy, ensuring all orders are complete, properly handled, and delivered in a safe and organized manner
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by properly handling perishable items, monitoring temperature-sensitive products, and following all company and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize handheld technology to manage deliveries, track inventory, place orders, capture required documentation, and support accurate recordkeeping
  • Pick up requisitioned supplies from staging clerk
  • Load orders onto truck with assistance of staging clerks in a safe, orderly manner
  • Ensure hot and cold food items comply with company standards and all sanitation and safety requirements
