We are currently seeking a full-time Food Transporter/Delivery Driver at our Middlesex location. This vital role involves delivering food, supplies, and other products efficiently and safely to designated units and service areas using a company vehicle. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, offering consistent full-time employment. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for commissions based on performance. Additionally, the position supports an internal employee referral bonus program, encouraging team growth through staff recommendations.

The Food Transporter/Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and delivery of food and supplies while adhering to stringent sanitation and safety standards. Ensuring that hot and cold items comply with company guidelines is paramount, along with maintaining cleanliness and performing routine maintenance on assigned vehicles. The role requires interaction with coworkers and customers, focusing on providing exceptional one-on-one customer service and attention to detail throughout the delivery process. This position demands a reliable, detail-oriented individual with a valid driver's license, prior food service experience, and a friendly approach towards customers and team members.

Job Duties

  • Picks up requisitioned supplies from staging clerk
  • Receives completed production orders from staging clerk and inventories items to ensure completion of production orders
  • Loads orders onto truck with assistance of staging clerks in a safe, orderly manner
  • Unloads requisitioned materials at delivery site
  • Follows sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment
  • Ensures hot and cold food items comply with company standards and sanitation requirements
  • Collects empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise
  • Responsible for general cleanliness of assigned vehicle
  • Performs routine maintenance on truck
  • Interacts with coworkers to ensure company service standards
  • Provides quality customer service via one-on-one attention to detail
  • Performs other duties as assigned
