As a Barista, your core responsibilities revolve around delivering hand-crafted, high-quality beverages while creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers.   • Able to lift up to 45 pounds with occasional lifting over 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Creditable job-related experience may be substituted on a 9 months for 9 months basis
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds with occasional lifting over 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way
  • Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to the register to let them know you'll be right with them
  • Listen to customer needs
  • ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate products that meet the specific need of the customer
  • Ensure customers have an extraordinary experience while shopping
  • Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages including salads, sandwiches, pizza, coffee, tea, and ice cream
  • Replenish food at serving stations
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work area
  • Collect money, ring sales on cash register, and make change
  • Actively communicate and promote the benefits of the Military Star credit card to customers
  • Assist in stock management by taking periodic stock counts and reporting issues
  • Resolve customer complaints at the lowest level and inform management of barriers to optimal customer experience
  • Participate in achieving service and sales goals for the food facility
  • Cross-train and work in other store areas as needed
