This Food Supervisor position is located at Southern Maine Community College and represents a full-time opportunity with a competitive pay range of $19.25 to $22.50 per hour. The role involves coordinating and overseeing food service operations to ensure excellent quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. As a Food Supervisor with Sodexo, your responsibilities will span multiple food service settings, including fast casual, coffee/counter service, cafeterias, banquets/events, casual dining, and cafes. You will be tasked with reinforcing a safe working environment, providing employee orientation and ongoing training, and being proactive in resolving customer concerns related to service and food quality. Attending shifts punctually and showing reliability are critical, as is a willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of the account and client requirements since some duties may vary between locations.

Sodexo values supervisors who are team-oriented, adaptable, and dependable, and who actively nurture healthy and safe workplaces. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, alongside at least one year of related work experience in the food service sector or a similar environment. The company expects its employees to be driven by purpose and to contribute meaningfully to the company’s mission of improving quality of life. Sodexo further supports its staff by offering a flexible and supportive work environment that acknowledges the importance of work-life balance and provides access to continuous training and development. This opportunity is designed not just as a job but as a pathway to career advancement and personal growth within a global, values-driven company.

In addition to competitive wages, Sodexo offers a comprehensive array of benefits including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, a 401k retirement plan, various employee discount programs, and potentially site-specific perks such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and assistance with public transportation or parking. These benefits demonstrate Sodexo's commitment to fostering the well-being of its employees and their families.

Joining Sodexo means becoming part of a mission-driven team that is dedicated to making a positive difference through exceptional food service and operational excellence.
