This particular role is for a Food Supervisor within the Oklahoma County Senior Nutrition Program, a part-time position that offers varying shifts with an hourly pay range between $9 and $11. The Food Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring smooth food operations by overseeing service employees and managing daily activities in fast casual dining, cafeterias, coffee/counter service, casual dining, banquets, and events. This position requires a hands-on leader who can multitask effectively, maintain high standards of food quality and customer service, and provide mentorship and training to team members.

The Food Supervisor’s responsibilities include supporting management in the daily supervision of food service staff and operations, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment, facilitating employee orientation and training, and working directly with customers to ensure satisfaction related to food quality and service. This role demands a proactive attitude toward problem resolution and the ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards. Other duties may vary depending on the specific needs of the client or rundown of the business at individual locations.

Ideal candidates for the Food Supervisor position will have at least one year of related work experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred. They must be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and committed to sustaining a safe workplace environment. The role requires excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both employees and customers, fostering an atmosphere of cooperation and efficiency.

Sodexo offers a flexible and supportive work environment, allowing employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Staff members have access to ongoing training and development programs designed to help transform jobs into long-term careers. Benefits for this position include paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan. Depending on the specific location, additional perks such as free meals or meal allowances, uniforms, safety shoes, public transportation support, and parking may be available.

By joining Sodexo as a Food Supervisor, you become part of a company that truly values its employees’ wellbeing and professional growth, while also contributing to the communities served by the organization.
