At Holy Family Hospital Methuen, Sodexo currently seeks a dedicated Food Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis, working mornings and afternoons/evenings with varying days including some weekends and holidays. The pay range for this role is competitive, between $22.00 and $27.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of this position in maintaining high-quality food service operations. As a Food Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be overseeing daily functions related to food service across different settings such as fast casual outlets, coffee counters, cafeterias, banquets, casual dining, and cafes. You will act as the critical link between management and service employees, ensuring smooth operational flow and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Your role as a Food Supervisor involves multitasking and managing multiple priorities simultaneously. You will provide key support to management by coordinating and supervising the daily activities of staff, ensuring a safe and positive working environment for all employees. Part of your duties includes facilitating employee orientation and training, which is crucial to maintaining a knowledgeable and efficient team. Additionally, you will engage directly with customers to address concerns related to service quality and resolve any issues to uphold Sodexo's commitment to excellent customer satisfaction.

This position requires a team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable person who fosters a healthy work environment and promotes safety and compliance in all operations. Previous supervisory experience, while preferred, is not mandatory, but candidates should possess at least one year of related work experience in food service or a similar field. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year related work experience
  • Availability to work mornings, afternoons/evenings, varying days and some weekends
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees

  • Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
