The Food Supervisor role at Sodexo’s UTMB Health League City Campus Hospital is a full-time position that offers a competitive pay rate of $16.00 per hour. This role requires a dynamic individual who excels at multitasking and is passionate about improving the quality of life within a healthcare food service setting. Working varied shifts with open availability preferred, the Food Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of service employees engaged in diverse food service environments, including fast casual dining, coffee and counter service, cafeterias, events and banquets, casual dining, and cafes.

This supervisory role provides critical support to management by coordinating routine work activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes employee well-being and customer satisfaction. The Food Supervisor acts as a key intermediary between management, staff, and customers, facilitating orientation and training, monitoring work performance, and addressing any service issues promptly and effectively. The position requires punctuality, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

In addition to routine supervisory duties, the Food Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all food service operations meet Sodexo’s quality standards and client expectations. Job Requirements

  • 1 or more years of related work experience
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work varying shifts including days and hours with open availability preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees
  • Facilitate orientation and training of employees
  • Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
