Within the Workplace Experience Group, the Portfolio Group is dedicated to delivering seamless services that range from the breakroom to the boardroom. They develop signature service offerings tailored to the unique needs of different business portfolios. This team is known for building partnerships that foster convenience, consistency, and excellence. The role of Storeroom Clerk is a crucial position within this team and focuses on managing storeroom operations and inventory management for dining facilities supporting mission-essential feeding operations. The individual in this role will be held responsible for forecasting, ordering, receiving, issuing, and inventorying subsistence items to ensure smooth kitchen production and compliance with Tri-Service Food Code and food safety regulations.
Reporting directly to the Contractor General Manager and Executive Chef, the Storeroom Clerk will be an integral part of ensuring nutrition and food supplies are maintained adequately at all times. This involves maintaining accurate inventory levels as set by management, participating in bi-monthly inventories in collaboration with Air Force personnel, and upholding stringent health, sanitation, and safety standards outlined in the contract. The Storeroom Clerk will manage storage areas, initiate food and supply orders based on operational needs, inspect incoming deliveries, and ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) practices are consistently followed to maintain food freshness and safety.
Additionally, this role demands strong organizational and communication skills to maintain storeroom order, proper documentation, and training military personnel assigned to storeroom duties. The position requires compliance with various regulatory mandates, including energy conservation, recycling programs, HACCP policies, and maintaining facility safety. The physical demands of the job include prolonged standing, walking, lifting heavy items up to 100 pounds with assistance, and working under varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures.
Candidates must hold ServSafe Manager Certification, possess the ability to work a flexible schedule, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Security clearance eligibility and adherence to a drug-free workplace policy are mandatory. This position presents an excellent opportunity for those dedicated to food service operations and inventory management within a robust and mission-critical environment. Aramark offers a dynamic and supportive culture where professional development and operational excellence are prioritized, making this an ideal role for candidates seeking to contribute their skills in storeroom and inventory management while participating in meaningful work with military and civilian collaboration.
