The role available is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of patient care and facility sanitation that TMH is known for. As a vital member of the Dietary Department, you will perform various duties related to dietary services, including food transport, sanitation, and equipment maintenance within the hospital setting. This position is designed for individuals who possess a strong work ethic and attention to detail, ensuring the safe handling and delivery of meals to patients across the hospital. Duties include operating dishwashing machinery, performing thorough cleaning and sanitation of dish rooms and kitchen floors, handling trash and recycling responsibly, and assisting in food storage and stock management. The role also involves some driving tasks for the transportation of food items between TMH locations, necessitating a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Beyond the technical functions, the role contributes significantly to the overall patient experience by guaranteeing cleanliness, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards. This position reports directly to the Food Service Manager and requires flexibility, as duties may occasionally shift to related tasks such as tray line or cafeteria serving.
