Job Description
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that serves a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. The current role focuses on providing vital dietary services within the hospital environment. The dietary position involves performing a wide range of duties essential for maintaining high-quality food service and sanitation standards. Responsibilities include the daily meal service, which encompasses delivering food carts and outpatient trays to patients throughout the hospital. Additionally, the role involves managing unit floor supplies, disposal of boxes and trash, and ensuring cleanliness through sweeping and mopping floors regularly. Cleaning duties extend to washing pots and pans, ensuring all kitchen and dining utensils meet rigorous sanitation guidelines. This position reports directly to the Food Service Manager and operates independently without supervisory responsibilities. This role is well-suited for individuals with at least one year of food service experience, preferably within a healthcare setting, who are committed to maintaining excellent service and hygiene standards. Although a high school diploma or GED is preferred, the key focus for this role is a proven track record in food service operations.
