The Food Service Supervisor role at BoldAge PACE is a key position within the organization's operations. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the individual in this role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations of the Food Services Department. This management role involves supervising kitchen activities, ensuring food quality, safety, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The supervisor coordinates meal services, oversees food procurement, and collaborates with contracted food service providers to maintain the highest standards of dietary care. Working closely with Registered Dietitians, the supervisor ensures that meal plans align with individualized dietary requirements and government nutrition guidelines, including CACFP standards. The position requires maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment, monitoring the use of equipment, and managing inventory control. Additionally, the Food Service Supervisor monitors participant meal intake and compliance with therapeutic dining programs. This role demands leadership skills to supervise and train kitchen staff, including ensuring Serv-Safe certification compliance. Effective communication with other departments and participation in quality improvement initiatives are also critical components of the role. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Serve Safe certified
- Two years working in dietary services including meal planning and preparation
- A minimum of one year’s experience working with the elderly population or willingness to undergo training
- Must have reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum state required liability auto insurance
- Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging with participants
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Implement and maintain policies for food procurement, preparation, and service, ensuring compliance with regulatory and facility guidelines
- Manage food services expenses, maintain written records of expenditures, and provide required documentation and cost reports
- Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure dietary care plans, physician orders, and nutritional requirements are met, including planning monthly menus compliant with regulations and CACFP guidelines
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including equipment readiness, inventory, and kitchen cleanliness, ensuring logs for temperatures, food safety, and equipment calibration are maintained
- Prepare and serve meals that meet nutritional standards, are appetizing, and adhere to portion control and therapeutic diet guidelines
- Monitor and document participant meal intake, compliance with dietary plans, and therapeutic dining programs
- Supervise and evaluate kitchen staff, ensuring proper training, including Serv-Safe certification for food service staff
- Manage food and equipment ordering, tracking, and invoice approvals
- Maintain effective communication between dietary services and other departments, protecting privacy and confidentiality
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, task forces, and committees, supporting BoldAge’s QI program
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
