Job Description

AdventHealth is a renowned faith-based healthcare organization committed to extending the healing ministry of Christ by caring for the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. With a vast network of hospitals and healthcare facilities across the United States, AdventHealth emphasizes community involvement, spiritual growth, professional development, and compassionate care. The institution is not only a leading provider of healthcare services but also a workplace that values diversity and fosters an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued for their unique contributions. Joining AdventHealth means becoming part of a purpose-driven team that is dedicated to uplifting communities and improving lives through holistic health services and support.

This particular opportunity is for a full-time culinary professional based in Denver, Colorado, working primarily day shifts. The role focuses on various kitchen operations including preparing patient, retail, and catering meals by strictly following culinary production records. This includes short-order and batch cooking to maintain quality and temperature standards, which are critical in a healthcare setting where food safety and patient satisfaction are paramount. The position also involves executing advanced preparation tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients to manage upcoming high-volume service periods efficiently.

Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen environment is a crucial part of the role. The individual must ensure that all equipment and surfaces comply with health regulations, including proper temperature recordings as mandated by regulatory bodies, guaranteeing a safe and hygienic food service operation. Additionally, the culinary professional plays an important role in inventory management through sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to promote food safety while reducing waste. Collaboration is essential, as the role requires working closely with managers and team members to align with operational goals, communicate needs effectively, and support smooth food service delivery.

AdventHealth offers an attractive package starting with benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Employees enjoy paid time off from their first day, participate in a 403-B retirement plan, and receive four weeks of fully paid parental leave. The organization is committed to career development and provides whole-person well-being resources alongside mental health support. Unique perks, such as pet benefits, also highlight the organization's comprehensive approach to employee satisfaction and work-life balance.

With competitive pay ranging from $19.77 to $31.64 per hour, this role offers stability, growth opportunities, and the chance to be part of a mission-driven institution that truly cares for its people. AdventHealth stands out as a place where individuals can thrive professionally while growing spiritually in a supportive and respectful environment that promotes teamwork and excellence in healthcare service delivery.
