Job Requirements

  • Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of work-related experience
  • Ability to use culinary tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, steamers, kettles, and slicers
  • Food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • Ability to read and follow recipes written in English
  • Ability to add and subtract numbers
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English

Job Qualifications

  • Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail cook or restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to use culinary tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, steamers, kettles, and slicers
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to follow recipes written in English
  • Competent in basic math skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English

Job Duties

  • Prepare specified items by following recipes and culinary standards set by the chef and retail manager
  • Operate safely and effectively industrial kitchen equipment and culinary tools
  • Maintain department compliance with all state, county, and regulatory agency food safety and sanitation standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Support the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
  • Participate in rotating shift schedules including weekends
