The Shift Leader role at Pilot Company is a key supervisory position within the restaurant operations of its travel centers. Shift Leaders are responsible for overseeing employees and managing the general operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth daily functioning. This position demands outstanding customer service skills to effectively respond to customers’ needs and uphold Pilot Food & Jewelry's (PFJ) commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Candidates for this role should be self-motivated and willing to assist managers with various tasks to keep the facilities well-maintained and operating efficiently. As a Shift Leader, you will be expected to have a working knowledge of store operations to support both team members and customers effectively. The role offers competitive pay, ranging from $14.20 to $21.10 per hour, and provides an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible schedules that include nights, days, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in restaurant or retail operations preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • basic math and computer skills
  • reliability and punctuality
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • pass background check

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience or working knowledge of restaurant operations
  • incredible customer service skills and the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture
  • must be proficient with a calculator, computer, and other equipment
  • ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members, customers, vendors, and corporate representatives
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays
  • background check is required
