Founded in 1958 by Jim A. Haslam II and currently under the leadership of CEO Adam Wright, the company continues to uphold its founding values centered around a people-first culture and a strong commitment to community contributions. Pilot Company operates with a diverse portfolio, including supply chain management, retail operations, logistics, transportation, technology innovation, construction, maintenance, human resources, finance, and sales and marketing. This extensive scope enables Pilot to maintain its position as a top supplier of fuel and freight services with one of the nation's largest tanker fleets, supporting critical oil operations in the busiest basins across North America.
The role of Shift Leader at Pilot Company is integral to the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant facilities within their travel centers. Shift Leaders are primarily responsible for supervising restaurant employees and overseeing general daily operations to ensure exceptional service delivery. This position demands a candidate with outstanding customer service skills, who can actively respond to customer needs while fostering a welcoming and customer-centric atmosphere. A Shift Leader must demonstrate self-motivation and a proactive approach, readily assisting management with the execution of various tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. Knowledge of store operations and an understanding of Pilot’s commitment to quality and customer service are essential for success in this role.
Starting pay rates for this position range from $15.70 to $23.33 per hour, reflective of the candidate's experience and qualifications. The role requires flexibility in scheduling as candidates must be willing to work nights, days, weekends, and holidays to align with business needs.
