The Food Services General Manager plays a pivotal role in upholding the company’s commitment to excellence by managing all daily restaurant and food service activities. Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, business administration or related field
  • Proven experience as a general manager or similar leadership role in food service

  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and safety regulations
  • Proficiency with restaurant management software and POS systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Proficient financial management and budgeting capabilities.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure service consistency, quality, safety and compliance
  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for employees and guests
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and quality control
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints using de-escalation techniques
  • Implement strategies to enhance the dining experience and promote repeat business
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization and ambiance of the dining area
  • Manage inventory of front-of-house supplies and coordinate with vendors
  • Enforce health and safety regulations including food handling and sanitation
  • Develop menu updates with the management team
  • Monitor and analyze trends for improvement opportunities
  • Interact with customers to provide personalized service and handle special requests
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Regularly build relationships with guests to address needs and concerns
  • Enforce standard operating procedures for front-of-house and customer service
  • Conduct safety and hygiene inspections and train staff accordingly
  • Recruit, train and supervise diverse team members including scheduling and performance management
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
  • Foster teamwork, professionalism and a positive work environment
  • Motivate staff to deliver excellent service and address concerns
  • Provide coaching, mentorship and professional development
  • Conduct staff meetings to communicate goals and policies
  • Execute training focusing on nutrition, culinary innovation, food safety and cost management
  • Develop ongoing training programs for service staff
  • Manage annual budgets including revenue forecasts and expense control

  • Implement pricing strategies and promotions to increase revenue
