The role of Food Services Cook at Moore Norman Technology Center is a full-time opportunity based on the Franklin Road Campus, offering a starting hourly wage of $18.32 and an annual salary of approximately $38,106. This position reports directly to the Food Services Coordinator and is vital to the day-to-day food preparation and service operation within the district. The primary responsibility of the Food Services Cook is to prepare a wide variety of food items, including main entrees, snacks, and catering options that meet the needs of the district's various programs and events. This requires strict adherence to food preparation and storage guidelines as mandated by the Oklahoma State Department of Health, ensuring that all food served is safe, nutritious, and of high quality.
Working Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, the Food Services Cook will follow standardized operating procedures that maintain consistency and efficiency in food service delivery. The position requires a minimum of three years of food service experience, including roles such as Cook, Prep Cook, or Food Service Worker, or an equivalent background to handle the diverse challenges within the role effectively. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and need to obtain a Food Handler card, an essential credential that certifies knowledge and compliance with safe food handling practices.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler card
- Minimum of 3 years previous food service experience
- Ability to pass lift testing as part of hiring process
