The Food Services Associate role is based at Abbott Park, IL, within the GES Global Engineering Services division. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous food service, cafeteria, cafe, or barista experience preferred
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- basic math skills and comfort using POS systems
- knowledge of food safety practices (ServSafe certification a plus)
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 30-40 pounds
- ability to bend, stoop, and reach as required for food service tasks

Job Duties
- Prepare and assemble menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines
- serve food courteously and efficiently in a corporate dining or cafe setting
- assist with catering setups and breakdowns for meetings and events as needed
- prepare coffee, espresso-based drinks, and specialty beverages
- operate espresso machines and other beverage equipment safely and properly
- maintain a clean and stocked beverage station
- operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately
- handle cash, credit, and mobile transactions following company procedures
- provide friendly, professional service to employees and guests
- address customer questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating food and supply inventory
- monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs
- help minimize waste through proper storage and inventory practices
- maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment
- follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- comply with local health department regulations and company policies
