Located in Dunbridge, OH, the Food Services Assistant role is an essential part of the Food Services team, contributing directly to delivering a high-quality dining experience for employees and guests. This full-time position, scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, works closely under the direction of the Head Chef to assist in various aspects of meal preparation, service, and kitchen maintenance. The role involves hands-on tasks that include preparing and serving meals and snacks, managing food storage with adherence to food safety protocols, and ensuring cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas.
This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in food service, have a strong attention to detail regarding sanitation standards, and thrive in a team-oriented yet independently-driven work environment. The Food Services Assistant contributes to daily operational efficiency by managing inventory, supporting event catering needs, and maintaining kitchen and dining areas’ cleanliness and organization. The role requires physical stamina to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve standing for extended periods and frequent bending or reaching.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience preparing food for large groups
- Proficient in safe use of knives and commercial kitchen equipment
- Experience with cleanliness and organization in commercial kitchen
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and anticipate needs
- Willingness to work occasional additional hours
- Maintain professional appearance with appropriate attire and hygiene
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience preparing food for large groups and working with diverse food types and recipes
- Proficiency in safely using knives and commercial kitchen equipment
- Experience maintaining cleanliness and organization in commercial kitchen
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage responsibilities
- Willingness to work occasional additional hours for events
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Current ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain
Job Duties
- Assists with all aspects of preparing and serving daily meals and snacks for employees and visitors
- Prepares and delivers food, beverages, and snacks for meetings, training sessions, and company events
- Maintains proper food storage practices including rotating inventory (FIFO) and monitoring expiration dates
- Operates touch-screen cash register and processes transactions accurately
- Washes dishes to maintain clean kitchen and adequate supply of utensils and cookware
- Follows food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
- Performs routine cleaning of kitchen equipment at least twice a week
- Maintains clean and organized dining, conference room, and kitchen areas daily
- Inspects break rooms daily for cleanliness, supplies, and proper food storage
- Communicates inventory and supply needs to Head Chef
- Delivers third-shift lunches to designated locations
- Demonstrates positive attitude and openness to learning
- Works with urgency while maintaining quality and safety
- Functions effectively independently and as a team member
