Secaucus Train Station operates multiple prominent retail and food and beverage outlets including Dunkin Donuts, Faber News Now, and Junction Bar. These establishments serve a diverse menu comprising snacks, meals, and beverages while also offering a wide array of merchandise such as local souvenirs, travel supplies, snacks, and beverages to travelers and visitors. The Retail with Food and Beverage position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the smooth operation of the retail outlets at the train station. Employees in this role will be expected to deliver outstanding guest services through direct interaction, process register transactions accurately, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws regarding tobacco, alcohol, and lottery sales, including proper age verification. The role also includes food handling duties, assisting with the preparation, packaging, and serving of food and beverage items, alongside managing merchandise logistics such as unloading, stocking, and organizing inventory. Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the store and restaurant areas is critical, as is following corporate standards for merchandising and signage. Employees will engage in various janitorial tasks to uphold hygiene standards and ensure a welcoming environment for guests. This multifaceted role requires flexibility, attentiveness, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining operational standards for a seamless customer experience. Job Requirements

ability to read a computer monitor and understand basic pos functions

must be available to work a schedule that meets the needs of the business
lifting, pushing and pulling boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
frequent kneeling, bending and stooping
climbing ladders to stock merchandise in high locations
standing for extended periods of time

Job Duties

delivers exceptional guest service through personal contact with guest
processes register transactions according to company policies
ensures compliance of all local, state and federal laws as it pertains to tobacco, alcohol and lottery sales including the carding of all guests in accordance with the above agency’s requirements
satisfies all local health requirements in regards to food handling
assists in the production, preparation, packaging and serving of food and beverage items
assists in receiving and stocking procedures
unloads merchandise from trucks
checks in shipments
stages merchandise for the sales floor
stocks all areas of the store including the stocking of the beverage coolers
ensures all items in the store are within date code with newer items being in the back and older items being placed up front
fills merchandise and down stocks merchandise as needed to fill the store
ensure all merchandise is recovered and faced to company standards
ensures proper ticketing and signing of store merchandise
executes corporate directed prices changes and clearance markdowns
ensure the overall restaurant is neat, cleaned, organized and free of debris
janitorial tasks including the cleaning of floors, windows and all work areas and equipment
ensures all compliance to dress code as outlined in the employee handbook
performs other duties as assigned by the store’s leadership team
reports to work on time and in uniform for scheduled hours
