The role of Food Service Worker is integral to the smooth operation of our school cafeteria. This position is a daytime shift, Monday through Friday, with five hours per day, no weekends or holidays, offering an excellent work-life balance especially for those seeking part-time employment aligned with the school calendar. Food Service Workers play a key role in preparing and serving meals while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. This role requires dependability, punctuality, and a friendly attitude as workers interact directly with students and school staff, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The position involves tasks such as preparing cold food items, assisting with traying hot food, serving meals on the lunch line, packaging meals for younger students, stocking and rotating food supplies, receiving deliveries, and thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and equipment after meal periods. Team members may also perform additional duties as assigned by the kitchen manager.
