previous cashiering and deli experience
ability to stand for extended periods
ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
reliable and punctual
ability to communicate effectively
availability to work part-time including Saturdays
legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties

Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
weigh and measure designated ingredients
carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations in accordance with safety standards
distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment
store foods following wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures
clean work areas, equipment and utensils
ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements
use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and serving temperatures
serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner
interact with customers and resolve complaints
relay relevant information to supervisor
perform sales transactions and enter sales into the cash register
make change and accept various forms of payment
issue receipts and follow procedures for cash refunds
manage cash drawer and ensure compliance with overage/shortage standards
replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies
maintain service area cleanliness
perform other assigned duties
