The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is essential in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position involves assisting the manager with meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and supporting the completion of daily reports. The role demands a keen focus on the preparation of quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu, ensuring that all meals meet both safety and presentation standards. Employees in this role are responsible for food storage, sanitation, and proper use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives. Food Service Workers coordinate with management daily to understand menu requirements and supervise food temperature standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
In addition to food preparation and service, this position carries responsibilities related to maintaining an organized, clean, and safe food service environment. Duties include major cleaning tasks for kitchen equipment such as refrigerators and freezers, scrubbing and polishing counters, cleaning steam tables, and ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen floor and garbage collection areas. The role also involves some physical demands, such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms may be required to meet safety standards.

Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- handle physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
