The Food Service Worker at Aramark plays an essential role in assisting the food service manager with meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and generating daily reports. This position requires upholding high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for customers. The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing quality food and baked goods according to specified menus, understanding the components of meals served, and ensuring proper storage of food in sanitary conditions. They also serve food based on established schedules and departmental policies while using and caring for kitchen equipment, paying special attention to kitchen knives. A key part of the role involves coordinating and assisting with the major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.

Adherence to food safety regulations concerning sanitation, food handling, and storage is critical to this role. The Food Service Worker maintains a clean and organized workspace, including counters, steam tables, and kitchen floor areas, following established procedures to balance cleanliness with operational efficiency. Additional responsibilities include supervising food temperature requirements, wearing uniforms and personal protective equipment as required, and performing other duties as assigned within the kitchen.
