Beyond food preparation, the Food Service Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the Dining Hall in accordance with health department standards, including end-of-day cleaning duties. The position requires meticulous attention to detail in food safety, portion control, temperature maintenance, and equipment setup and operation.

The job also involves collaborating closely with the Snack Supervisor and Executive Chef to coordinate menu preparation, monitor snack stations, and ensure compliance with recipes and portion sizes. The incumbent will prepare and replenish food items throughout meal service, manage leftover food appropriately, and oversee the setup and breakdown of dining stations. This role requires a strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and organizational skills to manage time effectively while balancing multiple priorities. Additionally, the Food Service Worker must exhibit a positive attitude, the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, and adhere to the College's standards for professional appearance and conduct.

The College supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays, retirement benefits, and additional voluntary insurance options. Employee development and ongoing training, including cross-training in various dining functions, are also part of the role to help employees grow and succeed within the College environment.
