This job posting is for a part-time Food Service Worker position within the Veterans Canteen Service at the Reno VA Medical Center. The role is open to the general public, veterans, recent graduates, and individuals who are loyal to the United States. Food Service Workers are critical team members responsible for preparing a variety of beverages and food items including specialty coffee drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, smoothies, as well as breakfast and lunch selections such as sandwiches, wraps, pancakes, and burritos. This fast-paced and dynamic role requires excellent customer service skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Employees will be expected to handle food storage properly to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage while following approved procedures for meal preparation based on customers' orders and supervisors' instructions.

The position requires constant standing, walking, and frequent bending, indicating the physical demands associated with the job. Additionally, lifting or moving objects up to 40 pounds unassisted is part of the daily duties. Although one year of previous food service industry experience is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this role accessible to those with a passion for service and a willingness to learn. Job Requirements

Job Duties
