The Food Service Worker position at Aramark offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to delivering quality food and excellent customer service. The role is primarily focused on assisting the manager with various tasks including food and meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts and meal records, and contributing to daily reporting processes. As a Food Service Worker, you will be entrusted with preparing quality meals and baked goods according to a pre-planned menu, utilizing proper food storage methods to maintain freshness and safety. Daily tasks include verifying food and transaction reports, serving meals on schedule, handling kitchen equipment responsibly, and maintaining cleanliness to adhere to health standards. You will work closely with the Manager to align on daily menu plans, supervise food temperatures, and ensure that all food handling and sanitation regulations are strictly followed. This role may also involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, and requires adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and uniform policies. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting and standing
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • Food Service Certificate as needed
  • Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages
  • Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy
  • Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
  • Supervise the food temperature requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
  • Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness
  • duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
  • Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
  • This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
