The Food Service Worker position at Aramark plays a vital role in supporting daily food preparation and service activities within the kitchen. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices to ensure an exceptional dining experience for customers. Working closely with the kitchen manager, the Food Service Worker assists with meal preparation according to planned menus, monitors cash receipts and meal records, and supports the completion of daily operational reports. The responsibilities include preparing quality food items and baked goods, understanding meal components, serving food according to schedules and policies, and ensuring proper storage and handling of food items in a sanitary manner.
Additionally, the Food Service Worker manages the usage and care of kitchen equipment, particularly knives, and handles the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen areas, including refrigerators, freezers, counters, and cooking equipment. The role requires adherence to food safety regulations, uniform policies, and consistent communication with management to guarantee accurate meal preparation and food temperature supervision. This position may also involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms.

Job Duties
- prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness to ensure a balanced and safe environment including sweeping, mopping, ware washing
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- comply with physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing as required
- use uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
