The Dietary Aide position at Aramark SeniorLIFE+ plays a vital role in supporting resident well-being through exceptional culinary services. This role is primarily responsible for assisting the culinary team with meal service, ensuring the dining environment is clean and welcoming, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The Dietary Aide directly impacts the dining experience for seniors, ensuring meals are served with care that respects dietary restrictions and personal preferences. Working as a Dietary Aide offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, with opportunities for career advancement within Aramark and SeniorLIFE+. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends, holidays, and shifts throughout the day. Candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, manage physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintain a commitment to health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.

In this role, the Dietary Aide assists in meal preparation, serves residents with respect and dignity, monitors food temperatures, and helps maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas. Duties include managing meal tickets, restocking supplies, assisting residents with meal trays, and communicating any dietary concerns to the culinary and healthcare teams. Additionally, the Dietary Aide is expected to participate in ongoing training and development, ensuring skill enhancement and alignment with senior living food service standards.

Job Requirements

  • flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts including early mornings, mid-day, and evening shifts as needed
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while maintaining quality
  • strong attendance and reliability to ensure consistent meal service for residents
  • ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks such as bending, pushing, and pulling
  • must follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of one year of service experience in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality preferred
  • basic understanding of food preparation techniques, portion control, and food safety guidelines
  • ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions
  • strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations
  • state-specific food handler permit required or willing to obtain upon hire

Job Duties

  • assist in meal preparation and ensure food is plated attractively and appropriately for residents
  • serve meals in a friendly and respectful manner, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met

  • assist residents with meal trays, beverages, and dining needs as necessary
