The role offered is integral to the day-to-day operations of Baptist Health's patient care and food services departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals in strict accordance with the highest quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. In addition to meal service, the role involves delivering stock supplies to patient floor kitchens, replenishing used foods and supplies, and performing sanitation and dish room duties. Employees will also serve guests, maintain positive customer and guest relations, handle payment transactions for food sales at various dining outlets including the cafeteria, and assist in setting up meals for corporate retail, catering, the Doctors Dining Room, and other outlets. Decorating buffet and reception tables as assigned is part of the role, emphasizing attention to detail and presentation.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food safety certification within 90 days of job entry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Less than 1 year of experience

Job Duties
- Prepare, assemble and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards
- Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens
- Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations
- Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies
- Complete sanitation duties
- Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily
- Collect payments for guest trays
- Handle transactions for food sales in the cafeteria as a cashier in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets
- Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned
