The role available at Baptist Health is crucial in maintaining the high standards of patient care and hospitality that the organization is known for. The position involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals in strict accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. It also includes delivering stock supplies to patient floor kitchens, serving guests while maintaining positive customer and guest relations, replenishing used foods and supplies appropriately, and completing sanitation duties. Additionally, the role requires performing dish room duties as assigned and managing cash transactions for food sales as a cafeteria cashier under established policies. This position also supports meal set-up and service for corporate retail, catering, the Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets, along with decorating buffet and reception tables as assigned.

Importantly, this role supports a multi-faceted connection to the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of customers and is expected to perform all functions independently. Cross-training in various food service responsibilities and the ability to support the training of others highlights the dynamic nature of this role.
