The Food Service Worker role at Emanate Health is a part-time, regular position based at the EH Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora, California. This role is vital in supporting the nutritional needs of both patients and staff by assisting in the preparation, distribution, and service of meals throughout the hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and portioning various food items including salads, desserts, beverages, and special patient snacks. Their duties extend to setting up and breaking down cafeteria food services and functioning as a steam table server during meal periods. Additionally, the worker will manage dishwashing and tray storage and will assemble daily nourishment orders, ensuring timely delivery to patient areas.
An important aspect of the role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for all food preparation equipment and participating in special cleaning projects as needed. The Food Service Worker must exhibit knowledge of appropriate food handling techniques and general hygiene practices to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
