Job Description

This Food Service Worker position plays a crucial role within GCE’s service contract operations, focusing on delivering high-quality, safe food service as part of contract duties assigned by management. The role is designed to support diverse workplace environments, ensuring contract compliance while upholding customer service excellence at all times. Employees in this position are expected to have a willingness to learn and adapt, acquiring knowledge of all aspects of the job to maintain operational efficiency and safety. The position offers an hourly wage of $18.40 and includes health and welfare benefits supplemented by the federal government under the Service Contract Act (SCA).

The Food Service Worker must be physically capable of performing various tasks such as bending, crouching, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 40 pounds regularly with occasional requirements to move up to 50 pounds. The work involves frequent indoor duties, but may also require travel between different locations and buildings, including exposure to various weather conditions. Employees will work in shifts that could include early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, evening hours, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Job Qualifications
