Currently, Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Food Service Worker to join its Nutrition Department on a part-time basis, offering approximately 24 hours per week including weekend shifts. This role is vital in supporting patient care by ensuring the timely preparation and delivery of nutritious meals to patients and their families. The Food Service Worker is responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation, operating in accordance with established health regulations and hospital policies. Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience
- Food Handlers certification from Kansas City Missouri Health Department
- Ability to be on feet for extended periods
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Availability to work 24 hours per week including weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in food service or customer service beneficial but not required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexible schedule with availability on weekends
Job Duties
- Handling, preparing and serving food in accordance with written menu and sanitation regulations
- Preparing cafeteria food service and delivering food to customers
- Restocking cafeteria supplies
- Maintaining sanitation of work areas, dishes and equipment
- Maintaining inventory control, product rotation, labeling and safe food handling practices
- Assisting in cashier and dishwasher responsibilities as necessary
