The Food Service Worker role at Aramark involves assisting the manager in various food service operations, including food and meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and completing daily reports. This position requires maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety at all times. The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $15.92 to $19.00, reflecting Aramark's commitment to fair compensation. As a Food Service Worker, you will prepare quality food and baked goods according to planned menus, ensure proper storage and sanitation practices, serve food in alignment with department policies, and operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean and organized work environment, conducting major cleaning of kitchen equipment, and adhering strictly to all food safety regulations.

This position is physically demanding and may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to maintain safety. Job Requirements

Ability to prepare and serve food according to meal schedules and safety standards
Experience in maintaining sanitation and kitchen safety
Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
Willingness to wear uniforms and use Personal Protective Equipment
Effective communication skills to follow instructions
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Qualifications

Food Service Certificate as needed
Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
Understand what is inclusive of a meal
Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
Adhere to the uniform policy
Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
Supervise the food temperature requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
