The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is a vital position within the food preparation and service team, offering an hourly wage of $17.00. This role supports daily food and meal preparation under the guidance of management, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation are maintained throughout the kitchen operations. Responsibilities include assisting with cash receipt handling, maintaining meal records, and contributing to the completion of daily reports. Food Service Workers play an essential part in upholding kitchen safety practices and sanitation protocols, which are critical in delivering safe, appealing, and nutritious meals. The role requires attention to detail and efficiency, with duties ranging from preparing a variety of food items and baked goods according to planned menus, to the careful storage and handling of food products. In addition to food preparation and sanitation, this position involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including scrubbing and polishing counters and cleaning steam tables and other equipment. Physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing are part of the role, and usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, demonstrating the emphasis on employee safety. Job Duties

  • prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • use and care of kitchen equipment especially knives
  • timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
  • add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
  • coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • adhere to the uniform policy
  • connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
  • supervise the food temperature requirements
  • maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
  • scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
  • follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness to ensure a balanced and safe environment including sweeping, mopping, ware washing
  • maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
  • perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
  • comply with physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
  • use uniforms and personal protective equipment when required
