The Food Service Worker position at Aramark is a vital role responsible for assisting the food service manager with various aspects of food and meal preparation, cash receipt and meal record maintenance, and completing daily reports. This role ensures that high standards of quality are met in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices, contributing to an exceptional customer dining experience. The Food Service Worker is expected to prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu, manage food storage hygienically, serve food following meal schedules and company policies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role also involves the use and care of kitchen equipment with particular attention to safety. The worker coordinates and assists in the major cleaning of kitchen appliances and ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Regular communication with the manager is required to understand and accurately prepare daily menus, and supervision of food temperature requirements is a key part of maintaining food quality. Additionally, physical activity including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing may be involved, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms are utilized as needed.

Job Requirements
- Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and extended standing
- Willingness to adhere to uniform and Personal Protective Equipment policies
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and sanitation
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Food Service Certificate as needed
- Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- Understand what is inclusive of a meal
- Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages
- Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Adhere to the uniform policy
- Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- Supervise the food temperature requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
