The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is integral to delivering excellent food service and maintaining high standards of sanitation and kitchen safety. This position involves assisting the manager with food and meal preparation, keeping accurate cash receipts and meal records, as well as completing daily operational reports. Food Service Workers prepare quality food and baked goods according to planned menus, ensuring that meals are served according to schedules and department policies. Responsibilities extend beyond food preparation to include maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and storage areas, proper food storage, and equipment care. The role demands adherence to strict food safety regulations and uniform policies, emphasizing both food quality and employee safety.
In this role, the worker also supports inventory control by assisting in major cleaning tasks, such as refrigerators and cooking equipment, and helps ensure that all food handling, sanitation, and storage practices comply with company standards. The Food Service Worker collaborates daily with the manager to align food preparation with menu plans and verify food temperature requirements for safety and quality. This job may require performing physically demanding tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, or extended periods of standing and walking, alongside the use of personal protective equipment as needed.

Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to planned menu
- Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- Understand what is inclusive of a meal
- Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and garnishments
- Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Adhere to the uniform policy
- Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- Supervise the food temperature requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- May involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
