The Food Service Worker position at Gozzer Ranch plays a critical role in delivering exceptional dining experiences within the Food & Beverage Department. This role requires versatility and excellent customer service skills, as workers may be asked to operate across multiple dining outlets on the property, providing a broad range of food and beverage services. Responsibilities include taking customers’ food and drink orders, coordinating efficiently with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery, and memorizing the menu to confidently recommend appetizers, meals, and beverages from the restaurant’s wine stock. The focus of this role is creating memorable dining experiences by promptly addressing customer needs and resolving any issues that arise. Food Service Workers maintain a friendly and positive demeanor while presenting food and beverages, preparing dining areas, resetting tables, and supporting janitorial tasks in food service zones. Additionally, experienced workers aged 19 and older may be involved in special events that require preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, managing bar inventory, and ensuring compliance with all food and beverage regulations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred but not always required
- Prior food service or hospitality experience is beneficial
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Card
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must be responsible and trustworthy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs with assistance
- Must be flexible to work various shifts including weekends, holidays and evenings
- Ability to work in outdoor and indoor settings
- Age 19 or older for roles involving alcohol service

Job Duties
- Taking customers' food and drink orders
- Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
- Memorizing the menu and recommending appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock
- Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
- Serving patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner
- Providing information to help food and beverage selections
- Presenting ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner
- Maintaining dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude
- Preparing room for dining by setting tables and decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils
- Cleaning and resetting tables, replenishing supplies, refilling glasses and solving customer complaints
- Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables after dining
- Wiping up water spills, food stains and dirt from tables
- Straightening or replacing tablecloths
- Replacing cutlery and glassware for new diners
- Refilling paper napkins, salt and pepper shakers and other condiments
- Providing support and completing janitorial tasks in food service work areas
- Preparing alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons at special events
- Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks at special events
- Assessing customers' needs and preferences and making recommendations
- Mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Planning and presenting bar menu
- Checking customers' identification to confirm legal drinking age
- Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies
- Staying guest focused and nurturing an excellent guest experience
- Complying with all food and beverage regulations
