The Food Service Worker position at Global Connections to Employment is designed for individuals who are committed to providing safe, high-quality service in food preparation and related contract duties. This role requires a detailed understanding of all job responsibilities, and team members must continuously strive to deliver excellent customer service. The Food Service Worker will be trained and expected to comprehend both oral and written instructions to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and according to safety standards. As an essential member of the food services team, the successful candidate will need a willingness to learn every aspect of their duties and adapt quickly to any changes or new requirements.

Physical ability and reliability are crucial in this role, as the position involves a variety of physical tasks including bending, crouching, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, and lifting items up to 40 pounds regularly, and sometimes up to 50 pounds. Since the work environment can vary, the Food Service Worker should be prepared to travel to different locations and work indoors under varying weather conditions. Knowledge of proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals is mandatory, alongside adherence to the customer’s Emergency Operations Work Assignment protocols. The schedule for this position may be subject to change depending on contract needs. Job Requirements

  • must be able to pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screenings as appropriate

  • drug testing required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
