Job Requirements
- hs diploma or general education diploma (ged)
- ability to perform basic food production and food service tasks
- knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and safe food handling
- ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
- mathematical skills for measurement and portioning
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- good communication and customer service skills
- commitment to patient privacy and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education diploma (ged)
- basic knowledge of food production and food service supplies and equipment
- knowledge of maintaining safe food environments including proper cleaning procedures
- ability to read, write and speak English
- sufficient mathematical ability for measurement and portioning
- ability to meet deadlines and multitask
- strong customer service skills
- knowledge of patient privacy (phi)
Job Duties
- perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
- clean and store dishes, utensils, and pots
- perform general department sanitation
- follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve snacks and meals
- support the department by assisting in tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering
- adhere to privacy and safety regulations
- communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
