The Food Service Worker at Aramark plays an essential role in maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety. This position offers flexible shifts from 2am to 10am or 10am to 6pm, with eligibility for a $500 hiring incentive paid in two installments after 30 and 90 days of continuous employment. The role involves assisting the manager with meal preparation and managing cash receipts and meal records, along with completing daily reports. Workers are expected to prepare quality food items and baked goods according to planned menus, operate and care for kitchen equipment, and uphold stringent food safety and sanitation regulations. This position also requires timely dishwashing duties, maintaining organized work areas, and ensuring proper food storage. Physical demands include lifting, bending, extended standing or walking, and the use of personal protective equipment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior food service or kitchen experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
  • compliance with company attendance policy
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certificate as needed
  • sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • undertake varied dishwashing duties
