The current opening is for a Food Service Worker I (FSW I), an essential role within the Nutrition Services Department. The Food Service Worker I position is designed for individuals who are passionate about supporting patient care through efficient and hygienic food service operations. Working under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisor, the incumbent will undertake key responsibilities including sanitizing dishes, trays, pots, and pans; maintaining cleanliness through floor mopping; and managing meal distribution logistics by delivering meal carts to nursing units for patient tray delivery and collecting used trays. In addition to these routine duties, the Food Service Worker I is tasked with restocking pantry, storeroom, freezer, and refrigerator supplies to ensure uninterrupted service flow. This role requires dedication to maintaining a sanitary environment and contributing to the overall smooth operation of patient food service.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of foodservice experience preferred
  • Possession of ServSafe food handler card
  • Must be able to work variable shifts including early morning or evening, and alternating weekends
