The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is a key position that involves assisting the manager with a variety of food preparation and kitchen duties to maintain quality standards and customer satisfaction. This role is hourly with a competitive wage ranging from $25.00 to $26.00. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for preparing quality food and baked goods according to planned menus, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, preparing daily reports that verify transactions, and understanding meal inclusions to ensure proper service. You will also be expected to follow all food safety regulations related to sanitation, food handling, and storage to uphold high standards of kitchen safety.
The position requires hands-on involvement in timely preparation of various food items and beverages, garnishing to enhance presentation, and maintaining clean and organized workspaces. You will coordinate with the manager daily to align on the menu and supervise proper food temperature requirements. Additionally, this role requires the use and care of kitchen equipment, including knives, and active participation in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, steam tables, and counters.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- availability to work flexible hours including shifts and weekends
- good communication skills to coordinate with management and team members
- adherence to company uniform and safety policies
Job Qualifications
- Food service certificate as needed
- sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
- add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
