This particular position is within the Culinary team at Banner Health located in Tucson, Arizona. The role is categorized under Facilities, Environmental Services, and Culinary and works the evening shift, typically running from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, including weekends. The Culinary team member plays a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, ovens, and dishware to meet high health and safety standards. This role also involves cleaning kitchen and dining areas, dishwashing, restocking shelves, and supporting food preparation activities by unboxing foods and supplies. Job Duties
- Set up work station and prepare all assigned foods and nourishments in the correct quantities following procedures and food quality standards
- Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, trays, cups, glasses, cooking utensils, designated equipment, and kitchen areas disposing of all waste materials
- Maintain par levels of foods and supplies in assigned areas, order and restock items, rotate food stocks, and check expiration dates
- Check and record food and equipment temperatures according to defined procedures and report discrepancies to supervisor
- Deliver meals, nourishments, late trays, and tube feedings to units and return excess nourishments as requested
- Assist in catering or special event service
- Handle transactions at cash register and/or café if applicable
