The Food Service Worker role at Temecula Valley Hospital is an entry-level position reporting directly to the Director of Nutritional Services. This critical role is responsible for providing food and nutritional care that meets the dietary requirements prescribed by physicians and dietitians for patients of all ages. The worker must demonstrate proficiency in preparing meals that follow specific recipes and dietary instructions, using sanitary protocols to maintain the highest standards of food safety and health regulations. The position involves daily meal tray delivery to customers, patients, and visitors, assembling trays in accordance with individual diet orders, food preparation and production, cashier duties, dishwashing, and ensuring cleanliness through daily cleaning assignments. This role is essential to patient satisfaction and wellbeing, maintaining appropriate nutritional stipulations and ensuring quality and safety in the hospital's food service. Candidates for this role must have a current County of Riverside Food Handler Card and/or ServSafe certification, with previous kitchen experience in an acute care setting preferred.
