The Food Service Worker position at Aramark is a vital role within their food service operations. This role demands a commitment to quality food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with multiple tasks, including food and meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and compiling daily reports. This position is dynamic and requires adherence to strict standards of food safety and hygiene while catering to a variety of customer needs.

In this role, the Food Service Worker prepares quality food and baked goods following a planned menu, manages food storage responsibly, and serves food following meal schedules and department policies. The position requires proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment, ensuring food temperatures meet regulatory standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The worker is also responsible for major cleaning tasks such as scrubbing counters, sanitizing steam tables, and managing garbage collection sites to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

The Food Service Worker must be able to work efficiently under pressure and communicate effectively with the manager to understand daily menu requirements. The role involves physical activities including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to a uniform policy are integral to the job. Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy
  • Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
  • Supervise the food temperature requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
  • Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
  • Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
  • Handle physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
