The organization emphasizes equal employment opportunities and maintains a steadfast commitment to diversity, which enriches the workplace and fuels innovation. Aramark’s mission revolves around delivering quality food and facility services while promoting sustainability and responsible business practices, making it a respected industry leader and employer.

The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is an essential position within the food preparation and service team. This role focuses on supporting the Food Service Manager with a variety of tasks including food and meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and assisting in daily reporting duties. The Food Service Worker plays a crucial role in ensuring that food production meets high-quality standards, sanitation requirements, and kitchen safety practices. This involves adhering to strict guidelines for food handling and storage, ensuring all meals are prepared on schedule following department policies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment.

In addition to preparing quality food and baked goods following a predetermined menu, the Food Service Worker is responsible for tasks such as understanding meal inclusions, managing food storage correctly, garnishing meals to enhance appeal, and contributing to major cleaning efforts for kitchen equipment and storage areas. This position also requires the use and care of kitchen tools, particularly knives, and supervising food temperature requirements to comply with food safety standards. Daily communication with the manager is necessary to accurately prepare the day’s menu and address any updates or changes.

Flexibility is a key component of this role, as it may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage is required to maintain safety and hygiene. The Food Service Worker must perform other delegated duties including sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and maintaining garbage collection sites to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation.

This position suits individuals who can work quickly and efficiently under pressure, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and collaborate effectively within a team. Aramark offers an environment where employees can develop new skills, face new challenges, and contribute positively to service excellence. By joining Aramark, Food Service Workers gain the opportunity to advance their careers in a supportive atmosphere dedicated to professional growth, inclusivity, and making a difference locally and globally.
